On Friday, April 18, 2008 the students and staff here at Merrick Moore came to school dressed like their favorite book character.  This event was chosen as one of the many activities the students and staff were partcipating in for National Library Week.  Read more to find out what characters we saw on our campus...       

The students and staff were very enthusiastic about this event and that was clearly shown in their apperance.  We had Little Red Riding Hood, the wolf, Cat in the Hat, Wizard of Oz, On Top of Spaghetti, Daphane from Scooby Doo, Oompa-Loompa from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Cool Motorcycle Dude, Thing 1,2, and 3 from Dr. Seuss, Ladybug from Eric Carle, Pigeon, The Old Woman Who Swallowed a Fly, Caps for Sale, Peter's Chair, Beatrice from Uganda, Mr. Popper's Penguins, Hey Al, Paper Bag Princess, Pippi LongStocking, Katherine called Birdy, Junie B. Jones, Snow White, Popeye, Man with the Yellow Hat and Julie Moody to name a few....
